Who is the listener of study courses?

If you have a secondary or higher education and a desire to take study courses of interest or necessity, You have the opportunity to attend study courses at the Latvian University of Lifesciences and Technologies (LBTU) as a listener in bachelor’s, second cycle professional higher education and master's studies, take examinations, obtain an assessment and, after successful acquisition of the courses, receive an LBTU certificate.

Registration for study courses as a listener for the Autumn semester of the 2024/2025 academic year will take place from 26.08.2024 to 22.09.2024.

How do I become a listener?

  • To become acquainted with study courses offered by LBTU in the catalog of LBTU study programs – https://www.lbtu.lv/en/degree-programmes open study programs in which the relevant study course may be part of.

  • It is possible to find out whether this course is planned during the relevant semester by looking at LBTU lesson lists – https://lais.llu.lv/luis/lsarGe.html .Or by inquiring in faculties that provide acquisition of study courses of interest.

  • Study courses of interest can be looked up in THE LBTU course Register – https://lais.llu.lv/pls/pub/kursi.startup?l=2 

  • Registration shall be commenced on the first day of each term until the third lesson of the study course or a specified date.

  • During registration, go to the LBTU Lifelong Learning Centre, and receive and complete the registration form.

  • If you have all the necessary information, print the listener registration form (in the Annex) and fill it in.

  • With the registration form, go to the faculty, which provides planned (management) courses, to the dean and/or the head of study programs, in order to approve the acquisition of study courses.

  • The LBTU shall then submit the approved registration form to the Lifelong Learning Centre and enter into a listener agreement with THE LBTU regarding the acquisition of study courses.

  • Within 3 (three) working days after signing an agreement with a transfer, you must pay for the acquisition of the courses.

Fees for listeners of study courses per credit point are determined by order of the Rector 13.06.2024., No. 4.3.-8/126: 

  • In bachelor degree study programs - 30.00 EUR

  • In the study program of veterinary medicine:

    • In the absence of student status IN LBTU – EUR 50.00

    • If student status LBTU – EUR 30

  • In master’s degree courses – EUR 34.00

     

If a study course is implemented in English, a fee per one credit point shall be applied with factor 4 (four).
